Journaling and praying saved my life!
There are times when we find ourselves in situations where we do not know what to do, because we have forgotten who we are, and that's okay. But WHATEVER YOU DO, do not hold it in! Remember, YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD!
During my hardest and darkest times, I knew I needed to pray, but I honestly didn't know what to pray for. What do I say? What CAN I say to God? I got myself in these situations. There was so much guilt and shame.
Journaling helped me because when I was lost for words in my prayers, I could just brain dump! That's right! Journaling does not always have to be outlined, or formal. You can literally pour your heart out all over the page! I would then reflect and review my entry and it helped guide me into my prayers at the time.
This is a great way to get a jumpstart on prayers until you gain your prayer flow. If you are still having a hard time praying just remember this:
P - PRAISE (&Gratitude)
R - REPENT
A - ASK
Y - YIELD
This is just an idea. There are many things and ways that you can write in a journal for stress relief. No matter how you do it, DO IT! Try Journaling, it may save your life too!
